Time to shed some

They have started a "Klinik Citra Sihat" for those with weight issues in the office.
I decided to join - and attended the first session last Monday.
There's going to be a weekly meeting, and in time insya Allah, we'll be guided by a trained fitness instructors on how to combine the benefit of eating right + exercising right to shed some pounds off.

There were 7 persons during the first meeting at the office's gym.
It was my first time there - the equipments looked rather ancient compared to those I've learned to grow accustomed to in Palace of Golden Horses gym. But it seems like hubby could find no time to accompany me to that gym anymore and I dread going there on my own.
They said that it's always better to work out with a partner than on one's own.
when I saw one of the participants in "Biggest Loser Engaged Couple Edition" crying because she found it difficult to train on her own at their 'home-cum-gym" while her fiance went cycling on his own - my heart really went out to her
Or in a group. That way, we can motivate and compete with? each other.
"Great," said Sham, the instructor. "Just nice. It's always easier to work with a smaller group rather than a large one," he smiled brightly.

Sham is trained in sports science and used to work in a well-known gym for over 2 years. He just joined the government service in November 2009, and thought of sharing his expertise for the benefits of more people in the organisation. Including (but not limiting to) those who cannot afford expensive gym membership or stocking up on expensive 'health/diet' food. (can shakes be considered as food?) Zam, the 'manager' of the 'clinic' used to have weight issues so he understands perfectly well the desire in each of the participant to shed some pound and get the inner-slimmer-fitter-healthier us out.

We were shown and taught on how to use the cardio-related machines. I clocked 15 minutes on the threadmill and another 15 on the bicycle. We were asked to clock only 30 minutes on the first session - and then were shown some moves targeting specific body parts - tummy, thighs, butts.
Next, a quick briefing on maintaining a healthy diet.
"No, we are not asking you not to eat at all, " Zamri stressed his words a bit. "Only to adjust and change your diet so it become healthy..."
Which means - one can still get to eat nasi lemak and have teh tarik - but not every morning. Maybe once or twice a week.
Or, on mornings when one can manage to burn more calories than the desired intake.

It's been more than a year since I gave birth to Haniyya and I've only lost 5kg. I need to lose a lot more before my BMI is back on 'healthy' range.
Now, now, off to our weekly 'Ayuh Cergas' exercise program...
